"Training with Brian has become a very important and a very positive part of my week. Brian is a very calming person, yet his well-planned and thought-out workouts always energize me. I am a huge fan of his.
I have been working with Brian for more than 6 months and during that time I have felt steady gains in my strength and stamina. My balance has improved. I feel toned all over and I sleep like a log. Overall I feel great and am in the best shape I have been in years.
Brian gives his workouts at VIVE, a spotlessly clean, well-equiped and pleasant gym in Hollywood around the corner from the library. And parking is always very easy which is a rarity around many gyms."

"Brian is a steadfast, patient and intelligent trainer. He has the ability to easily access your fitness level, lifestyle and exercise potential. We utilized his expertise as a home trainer using our limited home gym equipment. He built an array of challenging routines incorporating core exercises, yoga poses, kettle bells, dumbbells, TRX and pull-up bars. I realized we didn't need a bunch of machines to stay fit. The exercise routines were exhausting, sweat pouring and heart pounding. I didn't have as many challenging routines with prior trainers prior to Brian. He certainly did push me to the limits but not in an intimidating militaristic mode. He introduced me to kettlebell training which I didn't think I would enjoy. With this compact weight I learned both strength and endurance exercises to stay fit. His core and endurance exercises focused on keeping the body fit for everyday activities -- lifting boxes, carrying heavy objects, yard work, etc. And as a secondary benefit (or primary for some), I developed a better physical appearance. Overall, I thank Brian in giving me the confidence and skills in staying healthy."

"I enjoyed getting to know Brian Worthy during the year in which we trained together. Early on I recognized his assiduous interest and care for the human body as a system of life, as well as well as his no-nonsense work ethic.
He expresses a confidence and compassion towards training in a refreshingly holistic way, which from my experience has been somewhat rare in an industry that can feel plagued with superficiality at times.
Brian's ability to distill feedback and augment personal training was paramount. His skills, understanding and genuine belief in me was a huge asset to my training experience."
Brian Worthy is a great trainer.
I’ve had a number of trainers in the past decade. Some were too gung ho. Some were too mild. Some just flaked out. But Brian is reliable and just the right amount of all the qualities one really needs in a trainer.
He focuses on functional strength over traditional-toss-weights-around kind of trainers. And no mindless repetitions or silly, overcomplicated weight machines. What we use are simple devices, small weights, pull up bars, open spaces, TRX cables, weighted balls, kettlebells. That is important, especially for a mid-life person like me. Exercises for vanity muscles are not something Brian promotes. What he does promote are exercises that strengthen muscles and stamina for balance, lifting, back strength, and endurance….in other words, all the activities that one wants to do to maintain mobility, full functional strength and stamina as we age. Learning and practicing how to stretching properly and sufficiently is a strong component of his workouts - and that is to prevent injury and increase flexibility.
Brian is also very intelligent and well-informed. He knows his trade and keeps up with the topics relevant to good health. New exercise techniques, traditional exercises, and nutrition. And If you want to talk culture, politics or societal trends, he can even go there, too!
